Submission Criteria

  1. Register yourself here. 
  2. Comply with the official rules of the Jostens Design-A-Sides® Contest.
  3. Designs must be on Design-A-Sides® Template provided here. You can also locate it on the "Download Template" tab.  
  4. Online Submissions: please save and upload file as: FirstLast_DASContest.jpg 
    • If submitting more than one design,use FirstLast_2020Design#.jpg. We will accept JPG, PNG, or PDF uploads.
  5. Online submissions must  i) be in digital format; ii) have a file type of jpg/jpeg or tif/tiff.
  6. PLEASE NOTE: All final designs are subject to review and possible modification by Jostens Manufacturing team in accordance to production capabilities.

 

Rules & Guidelines:

  1. You can submit as many unique designs as you would like. However, no more than one entry from any one applicant will be chosen as a Top 3 Finalist. Duplicate submissions will be disqualified.
  2. All design submissions must be NEW designs that are NOT currently offered by Jostens. You can browse www.jostens.com to see what we currently offer.
  3. Submit designs digitally online or by mailing your entry directly to Jostens, Inc.
    • Mail Submission must be received no later than April 1, 2019. Please note that if you are mailing in a submission, you MUST include a completed registration form, found here.

  5. Share your submissions on social media using #JostensDASContest and tag @jostensinc for a chance to be featured! 

  6. During the public voting period, each person can vote once every 24 hours.

 

Judging Criteria

All designs must follow our basic submission criteria above (non-conforming designs will automatically be disqualified) 

What are the judges looking for?

COMPLIANCE >  Design follows the submission criteria and parameters set forth in the Official Rules. 

THOUGHTFULNESS >  Each design submitted must be unique. Sending multiple designs of the same design or similar designs is not a successful technique.  Send us your single best design of a concept.

ORIGINALITY > such as, clever phrasing and/or graphic design.
