Who is eligible to participate in the Design-A-Sides® Contest?

This contest is only open to registered Juniors (Class of 2020) in high school. If you are homeschooled, you are eligible to participate as long as proof is provided that you are graduating in 2020. To verify eligibility, we will be asking the winner to send us a photo copy of their school ID.

Do I have to register to submit my designs and take part in the challenge?

Yes. You must register yourself to comply with the official rules of the Jostens Design-A-Side Contest and are able to officially submit your design. The information you submit will be used if you are selected as the winner and to share on Jostens social media channels. 

What do I create my design on? 

Use the Design-A-Sides® Template located in the "Download Template" tab. 

How do I create my design?

For online submissions, you can use photoshop or use any online graphic design platform to design on a blank white document. For mail-in submissions, you will need design digitally, print it, then mail it into

What file and formats should I save my design(s) as?

Once you are finished with your design, save it under FirstLast_DASContest.jpg. If you are submitting multiple, save it as FirstLast_DASContest#.jpg  and put the corresponding number. We accept JPG, PNG, or PDF formats. 

How does the voting work?

Our Jostens Design-A-Sides® Contest Committee will be choosing the Top 3 Finalists based on our judging criteria. Public voting on the Top 3 Finalists' designs will be from March 25 - April 8, 2019. Each person can vote multiple times but only 1 vote every 24 hours per person. We highly encourage our finalists to share their design on social media to get more votes. 

Where do I submit my design(s)?

You are able to submit your designs online here or you can mail your submissions to Jostens, Inc. Please note that if you are mailing your submission, you must include your registration form with your designs. Please print and fill out a registration form, found here. I submitted my design(s), now what?

We encourage you to share your creativity on social media, tag @jostensinc and use #JostensDASContest for a chance to be featured on our social media pages. 

Then just sit tight, you will be notified of next steps via email. If your design is chosen as one of our top 3, you will be notified no later than March 25, 2019.
